　We may occasionally observe structures composed of slits, such as fences, where the visual patterns behind them happen to create some form of animation. Part of this phenomenon involves scanimation, where viewing multiple vertically split images in sequence creates the illusion of animation.
　In this work, images for scanimation are composed using cutlery and table napkins typical of a dining table, based on multiple photographs taken in sequence. By placing a slit-like filter over the images, viewers can see the animation. This experience invites viewers to explore the traces of animation hidden within everyday life.

　スリット状に構成された構造物，例えば柵とその背後にある視覚パターンが偶然何らかのアニメーションを実現することを目にすることがあります．その現象の一部は，スリットと縦に分割された複数の画像をずらして見ていくと，アニメーションが起こるスキャニメーションであったりします．
　本作品では，連続撮影される複数の写真をもとに，ダイニングテーブル上ありそうなカトラリーやテーブルナプキンなどでスキャニメーション用の画像が構成されます．そしてスリット状に構成されたフィルタを画像上に置くことで，アニメーションを見ることができます．この体験によって鑑賞者は日常に潜むアニメーションのけはいを探っていくことになります．
